observations and ranting

It's so funny to watch people. Have you ever sat and just observed people? At school, in the store, parking lot, even your friends. It's pretty fun, and if you're good at it, you can figure out details about a person with out them even knowing you. I enjoy that. I sit in the atrium at my school and observe all the college students/faculty. There's all sorts of age ranges there as well, some high school (me, my brother for example) college age students, people in there 30's and older. Then all the teachers, and some days you wouldn't know they are teachers with they way they hang out with us. I also see how the world is full of hypocrites (YES! It's not just for Christians anymore!) I observe people using offensive language (yes, I get people use it, I'm not that sheltered, but it's seriously like every other word, and then it's just awkward.) and then they turn around and come to my table and not use a word of it, when I haven't told them that I don't appreciate such language. I listen to people complain about the standards that are placed to get into certain degree programs (like nursing for example, you have to take a entrance test, back ground check, and a few other things) and if they get bad grades on there entrance test, or are pulling a 'C' or below in classes, they complain about how it's not fair that they have such standards. I just think that if you are not willing to put the time into study, and are going to complain that much about getting in the program, how much more are you going to complain when you have to do clinicals, take care of people? and personally, I don't want you taking care of me if you can't take your schooling seriously. (don't worry ya'll. I am taking the fact I will care for your life very seriously. But I will tell you now, those classes have been a pain in some ways.) But yet with as much complaining that goes on, they never talk to the Dean of nursing about the standards to get it. Instead they will find anyone in the classes with them to complain. And I just sit there and think what I previously stated, and I also think that it really isn't that hard to do what they ask.
ANYHOW! I feel like I got sidetracked a little...but you might not have caught on to that. =)
So anyhow, Observations...
Kinda like a first impression, only more...secret. I can tell you a lot about the people that go to my school, even if I've never said hi to them. I've had guys stare at me, then turn around and joke with their buddies. I've had people sit there alone and study, every week. I've had those who just walk in the room and make me on edge. I've seen those who are obnoxious one day, then chill the next then repeated the same cycle.
And speaking of cycles, I feel like I'm about to go into a cycle of repetitiveness, so I'll leave you with a parting thought of sorts.
What type of observation do you want to be? A hypocrite, a good one, a bad one, or one where you scare people by the looks. This goes beyond meeting some one the first time. This is where you may never notice a person, and they've noticed you and have figured you mostly out by the time you meet.
